Two broken souls that can't be healed, they can't be saved. Abby and Jake have to decide if they can accept the darkness not only within one another, but within themselves.

If they can accept each other for who they really are they might learn that love isn't always found in the light...

WARNING: This is NOT your typical romance.
The story of Jake & Abby contains disturbing situations, graphic violence, sex, strong language, drug use, and all types of abuse.

The Dark Light of Day is a King series prequel

This is another well-written, well-thought and profound history from T.M Frazier which provided a lot of emotions.

"The dark light of day flirted with the horizon, peeking out a little at a time."

The action of this book happened in a small town, where everyone knows each other.
Jake and Abby are two young people, just beginning to function in adulthood. Frankly, I don't like, when heroes are so young characters. Often, I found out, that the authors do not have much room for maneuver with such inexperienced youngsters and create characters naive, silly and even irritating, and their behavior “call to heaven”.
Fortunately, this book and these characters are not concerned. The author brilliantly created the characters, giving them great clarity, but also very cruel, almost bestial experience in childhood. It has shaped the way they are today, despite a very young age.
Jake is 22 years (already) a man who is associated with motorcycles, leather jacket and tattoos. If I add to this well-built blond man with blue eyes you already know that the crowds of girls will stand in line to turned his attention to them. He carries on his young shoulders family tragedy, which eats him from the inside. Now, he lives like a fallen angel, whom do not have a place on the earth, worked in dark and dangerous work.
But one day, Jake meets red-haired Abby, less than eighteen years old girl, whose fate tacked patch. She went through hell in her short life. Even the though man would bend under the weight of horrific past, that happened to her. She hides herself from the world under a baseball cap and oversized clothes to conceal what had prepared fate for her. But Abby is a fighter and not so easy to destroy on the outside, although inside she feels dead.

Are the two, so deeply torn souls, can function and survive in this world? Will they be able to build a common future ?

Since the beginning of the book I did not believe in it, and with each new part, each chapter, my optimism was melting like an ice cube in the hot day. There were moments in the book, where everything began to fall into place. Abby and Jake pulls themselfs by invisible power, like two wounded souls understand each other without words. They are finding themselfs in the darkness, which became for them the light. For the first time in their life, they have placed trust in someone and have opened their wounds. Their relationship matured slowly, breaking the barriers around their hearts.
However it quickly turned out to be only apparent happiness.

The author gives us a kick of such emotions that I had never experienced so many at once. Do you want to predict what will happen on the next page, you think, you figured out Frazier thoughts ?? No, it will not happen in this book. It’s the constant and intense roller coaster of events and emotions.

"Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light"

This book is brilliant. I found in it all I'm looking in the books. I wouldn’t classifield this book just as romance or erotic novel, because you can find moments of drama and thriller at once with great storyline, suspend and action and deep feelings.
As usual in Frazier novels, we can count on a rich, thoughtful descriptions, where the reader can easily imagine a world or situation described, and there is a feeling that something was not unsaid. Then there are always great dialogues on and so fulfilling whole, complex characters and deep story.
I have to mention about the hero, no, rather villain, which plays a big role in this book. Owen is a boy from a good family, a child who has everything what his heart desires. However, he’ll want something what can’t have, and that start a whole avalanche of events and that you have to read.
I am delighted with this book. Many of the plot I can not describe here to you, because I do not want spoil such a great book, but the action is happening here so quickly and just as quickly change the course of events, that my surprise was enormous. I collected jaw off the floor several times, tears and flung into my eyes.
TM Frazier is a talented writer and I know she’ll not disappoint me in any book, which was showed even in this debut. Dark Light of Day is a masterpiece for me.
